At 2 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 22, Arizona Wildcats, with former Brophy College Preparatory standout Jack Lafflam on the roster, lost 11-2 to the UConn Huskies in their NCAA Division I baseball contest.
Hi Corbett Field served as the venue for the game, which marked the teams’ fourth meeting this season. In their previous matchup on Saturday, Feb. 21, the Wildcats edged out a 5-4 win over the Huskies.
Lafflam gave up three earned runs in 1.1 innings, walking three batters and striking out one.
The Wildcats are set to play their next game on Friday, Feb. 27, at 6:40 p.m. at Las Vegas Ballpark, where they will face the Oregon Ducks.
