On April 22, 2025, the airport shared that “News from @AlaskaAir: New daily service between Phoenix and San Diego starts Aug. 20. This will be the first time Alaska has served Phoenix-@SanDiegoAirport. Learn more at https://t.co/H3oOT7GXAK”. This development marks Alaska Airlines’ inaugural service connecting Phoenix with San Diego, broadening travel options for passengers.

Later that day, they acknowledged Earth Day, stating, “Happy Earth Day! These EV ARCS make and store electricity to deliver clean energy to our aviation fleet vehicles. It’s one of the many ways we’re focused on being future friendly. Learn more about our sustainability programs at https://t.co/yxN4GkZwuB”. This message highlights their commitment to integrating sustainable technologies within their operations.
