There were 5,866 new eviction cases filed in Maricopa County during April, according to the Justice Courts of Maricopa County.

As of April 2025, 23,824 eviction cases had been filed—representing 28.5% of the record-high 83,687 cases filed in 2005.

Eviction cases in Maricopa County are handled by the Justice Courts of Maricopa County, of which there are 26 local precincts. In addition to eviction cases, these courts handle protective orders, misdemeanors, small claims up to $3,500, and civil lawsuits for $10,000 or less.
