There were 5,076 students enrolled in Creighton Elementary District schools in the 2022-23 school year, 4% less than the 5,285 in the previous year, according to the Arizona Department of Education.

Out of the total students welcomed in the 2022-23 school year, 51.2% of them were boys, and 48.8% were girls.

Data also showed that most of the students were Latino, representing 83% of the Creighton Elementary District total enrollment.

Creighton Elementary District roughly covers schools within Maricopa County and has a main office in Phoenix.

Among the 10 schools in Creighton Elementary District, Papago School recorded the highest enrollment of 822 students in the 2022-23 school year.

In 2022 Arizona had roughly one teacher for every 19 students, compared to the national average of one teacher for 16 students. Teachers handling a higher number of students was found to have negative consequences for students’ school performance.

A 2023 study from Scholaroo.com ranked Arizona last out of all U.S. states in terms of educational success, giving the state poor marks for school quality, student success, and teacher-to-student ratio.
